Age-Hardenable Nickel-Copper Alloy
Monel K500 (UNS N05500)
Monel K500, or also known as UNS N05500, is an age-hardenable nickel-copper alloy that retains the excellent corrosion resistance of Monel 400 while offering greater mechanical strength and hardness. This alloy provides enhanced durability and long-term structural stability. It can be hot or cold worked and subsequently heat treated in order to create an alloy with high strength and toughness compared to the basic alloy. The use in oil extraction, marine and chemical processing sectors uses this ability to the full.
