Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy
Hastelloy C-276
Hastelloy C-276 is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with exceptionally low silicon and carbon content. It is regarded as a universal corrosion-resistant alloy, offering excellent resistance to localized corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and both oxidizing and reducing environments.
This alloy is widely used in chemical processing industries, as it withstands ferric chloride, cupric chloride, hot contaminated organic and inorganic solutions, formic acid, acetic acid, seawater, and saline solutions. It is also among the few materials capable of resisting wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide corrosion, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
