Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy
Hastelloy B-2
Hastelloy B-2 is a versatile corrosion-resistant alloy known for its exceptional resistance to both oxidative and reductive environments. It offers outstanding protection against uniform corrosion in a wide range of acids, particularly hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and hydrofluoric acid, across various temperature ranges. It also resists pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride and halide solutions.
Applications
- Reactors, heat exchangers, and towers in the chemical industry
- Pharmaceutical reactors and dryers
- Components in flue gas desulfurization systems
